Links aren't sockets... sockets aren't links. Zero linked items happen all the time... just not so often with a six socket item.

As I recall, if you link an item from the vendor result window, it shows up with no sockets. Eg, you offer a magic sceptre, an alteration and a sapphire ring to the vendor. The vendor offers you a magic sceptre with +1 to cold gems. If you link the +1 cold sceptre in chat from the vendor window BEFORE hitting accept, then it links with no sockets.

No, it's actually an easy way to do it:
1) Perform physical recipe or any other recipe that ends in an item (linked one was from white rustic phys recipe) 2) Assemble the recipe in the vendor window 3) Link the item in the result window directly to the chat Congratulations, you too can spook the majority of the playerbase. |
