starter hardcore scion, want to build tanky

hi guys, I've played this game briefly before, and i am picking it back up.

i am playing hardcore in blood line league

my goal is to build tanky so i can maximize survivability while still being able to kill stuff.

idea is to drag on the fight for as long as possible since i am new to the game my reaction time might be bad, especially since i've heard lots of map bosses can one shot you, and i'd really like to survive as much as possible.

I like playing melee with shield

what/how should i build? any builds or hints are welcome, thank you for reading!

Facebreakers is something nice to work on if you want to play with a shield - look in Duelist Forums and you can adapt the trees to Scion.
