Here, ill even add to the OP so my post doesn't get RBS'd. DS 3 was fun, if you had a controller.

I only played 3 very briefly as well, i played 2 quite a lot and liked it, but i am absolutely nostalgic about the first one, such a good game...

I also bought it off steam now lol.. there are comments how to enable multiplayer and the legends of aranna pack as well on steam if you want.

i played both the old ones.. tried the 3rd, it made me sad that they ruined this brilliant series so hard

I couldn't get into 3 as well and had to quit like right in the beginning, it was just too painful..

But man the first one.. To this day its still 1 person i play most of my hack and slash/rpg games with and we had such a good time in this.

There were those elevators where if you went on and activated they had to wait for it to come back up. It might sound kinda dumb but it was custom for us to troll each other, we would charge onto it and just before the other reached it, we would activate it and troll the other :D.. i remember getting quite mad about that on many occasions, but now thinking back it's one of my cherished memories..

And just trolling around in chicken level with chicken gun.. and just randomly failing and getting killed hard in that game.. i dont know why it hard to describe why it was great, but its just a classic game.

I remember introducing rules of no using the chicken spell from chicken level lol coz i thought it was hilariously ugly. It was just a chicken orbiting you shooting eggs and owning and sounded like a chicken when shooting.

There was a time when i saw an item in shop you couldn't buy because of cap to how much gold you could carry xD..

The game was just so full of secrets but also unfinished which somehow really sparked your fantasy.. and there were cool areas, i remember spending hours inside one trying to find out what the hell it was, and it was completely empty(almost) like huge dungeon labyrinth, underground in an open indefinite space with like notes and things.. You wandered into some pit and could find your way down into it.. it was huge!

I also just always played it with only my character, no others, i never liked games with an army of companions.
