Here is why you should always use Vorici
Graphs are pretty correct.
Basically set yourself a number(its usually 150 for me), if you don't get the 6L by then just use Vorici. Nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent.

Math vs. OP

1/1100 chances =/= 50% of chance to 6L after 1100 fusings, back to school folks
But just realized this would give a ~1/1587 chance, so my bad. Still, maths are right (and this was an epic troll haha). Ok, so for ppl telling I did things wrong, here is the details : Assuming a chance =0.06298% per fuse to 6L, if you do (1-0.0006298)^1100 you get ~ 0.5, thus 50% of fail (and on the other hand, 50% of success). To be honest, I did first chose 1100, and then calculated the % chances per fuse. But here is not the point. Average means that if everyone had 1100 fusing, 50% of the population would success, and 50% would fail. And for the ones who fail, again after 1100, 50% will success, 50% will fail, etc... What I am trying to say is that vorici would always be the best option if the average was 1100 fusings unless you have a lot of fusings and aiming for a lot of 6L. For 5L tho, seems that the average is low enough to gamble. - Last edited by Zybeline2 on Feb 27, 2015, 11:48:00 AM

If you used more accurate numbers it would look less bleak. With 1/1100 chance to 6L, 50% of the population needs at most 763 fuses to 6L.
