Faigrave's hat/tricorne

Hi, i've started the game a few days ago and this is my second time killing captain fairgrave. The first time (On the torment league) i got his tricoren, but now that i am in the standard league i did not get it. Is that a bug or is it supposed to be that way? Please, it is a great item ):

Aside from the Apex of Sacrifice and Alluring Abyss and itemlevel drop restrictions, every item drop in the game is going to be a possible random drop from any mob in the game.

It was pure coincidence that you got Fairgrave's Tricorne from Fairgraves, there is no way to farm specifically for any particular item besides the stuff listed above.

Oh wow, as i got the achievement of it being an unique item i tought it would be droped only by killing fairgraves, i guess i'll just keep killing till i get it. Thank you for your help :D

What are the odds... I can see how that would be confusing.
