MSI Issue?

Hello, i had just downloaded the installer from the offical tab on the website.
the format that it came in was MSI which i am having a issue in trying to find a program that would install the game onto my PC. If there is a solution or etc do please give me a link, i have tried a few extractors already with no avail. The world may be dark, but those whom you keep company with may bring out the sun.

What are your PC specs? a .msi file should open automatically on any Windows system.

that's the thing, i have a windows 7 os, i am up to date though it still does not work.. if i could have a different format or a solution of some kind that does get MSI to work..

Are you getting an error, does it ask you what program to open it with, or does it just not do anything?

it only shows the 'choose a program to run this' list.. -..- none of which works, tried power iso etc for that.. deamon tools but nothing works.

Here's the result of a quick search... perhaps it means something to you:
"Right click on the file and run the troubleshooter compatibility wizard, when prompt to run program, click it. " Also, as a side note, installers are the devil. If you have account problems please [url="http://www.pathofexile.com/support"]Email Support[/url]

You could try this:
Right click on the file. Select "open with ->" Select "Choose program..." Click on the "Browse..." button. Locate and select C:\WINDOWS\System32\msiexec.exe Check the "Always use the selected program to open this kind of file" checkbox *cross fingers* *pray to your gods* Click OK Last edited by Malice#2426 on Nov 15, 2011, 4:15:39 AM

If Malice's suggestion doesn't work, you might need to update/re-install Windows Installer.

You could reinstall the installer engine... it's possible your copy of windows 7 is not complete (PIRATE!) :P
