Straw Poll: Which aspects of the game have significant impact on your PC / laptop?

i play on 4k max setting

I do have some problems with alot of flicker strike discharger mobs. sometimes in partys i will get a bit lower frame rate. but most of the time it`s pretty decent. Thares the odd frame drop hear and thare.

as you can imagin i have a pretty beast rig. thares are some problems with the optimization of this game , thare is no dought about that , but for the most part you can handale it with tweaking the setting dow a bit.

The bigest problem with this game i find is that if i drop down to 1080p i still get the odd framerate drop when the same things happen on screen. my FPS are much higher and the drops less but still i do get them. this indicates a problem with the game itself.

As for folk who are always saying they get shit frame rate and the game is unplayable, im betting they are playing on a old rig not set up for gameing. TBH i don`t see why people like this have to bitch about it , they don`t have a gameing rig ... so they can`t game at max settings , that`s the way it always is.

1 more thing to note is that even though POE has WAY less demand on my rig than most AAA games on paper , it works my rig just as hard , sometimes harder.

now that i can play alone: strongbox, some laggy exiles, docks/barracks/garden, zombies from hilock(poison cloud i think)piety ice form, the load screen, and some skills like artic breath, ice shot, etc. but i have shitty pc:P

This poll results only mean that "people have issues with instances xxx" or "in fight xxx". It says nothing about it being a problem on players' end or on GGG's end. However, I think this post works under the assumption that it is 100% the game's fault, or to put it simply "we are gathering results so you can fix your game", when the results themselves actually say nothing about the game being poorly designed/optimized/in need to be fixed or not. The results only say that some people have issues with certain instances and/or certain boss fights, nothing more.

and thats exactly why i dont like this thread and wont participate. the only meaningfull poll of them all is the one where it asks if you would turn of particles if you could because they are the main reason for bad fps drops and for people not being able to enjoy party play.

the effort is nice and i bet the starter wanted to help but honestly the way GGG reacted and handled things in the past i fear that this polls will make GGG release some stupid ass comment like "blah blah not optimized we know bla bla particles not the problem bla bla reduced clutter in areas"

i cant stress how much i like this game and love what GGG is doing gameplay wise but on the topic of performance stabilisation and issue resolving ... damn talk about ignorance... 3 years of players asking for particle reduction and option to even turn it of completely and nothing has happened to a point where thousands even started using non sanctioned tools to remove particles because they simply want to enjoy this game with more than 10 fps in a 4 man party.

You're not wrong. If it turns out to be useless information to anybody it will simply be buried under thousands of other posts. Let's call it an experiment?
It's not a community petiton trying to create a pressure on GGG. They know and they are testing things (recent post "Rain and Load Times"). Maybe this will help them?

Sorry you feel about it this way. I love the game as much as you do. I'm not a new player who just found out it lags when you open a strongbox so went to rage on the internet, waving with poll in front of everyone. Can you post your PC specs and graphic card for others? Maybe it will encourage them to upgrade. Maybe they did and still have problems.

The only thing that ever effects me is leaving the game open for a long time, 3+ days or so. Even then it's not always a problem. Like some times GC doesn't work efficiently, other times it does; I'm assuming the game does use some for of GC.. Idk much about coding.

Turning it off makes my gpu shoot up to high 70's in temps (yes I have adequate cooling - runs mid 60's on max settings in other games).

I'd leave v-sync on, but my fps gets capped to 30 whenever I am watching a video/youtube on my 2nd monitor
