Straw Poll: Which aspects of the game have significant impact on your PC / laptop?

It's been a hot topic lately, I'm certain GGG is aware of it, they've been hearing about fps drops from all sides and they have guys working at it, they also read forums, so I thought Lets gather some info for them to find out what exactly bothers us.

I think this straw poll is a great way to simply put together our problems across the community from players owning both bad and high-end gaming PCs/laptops, give GGG feedback for the next expansion and the future.

Multiple answers are allowed because some options share the similar problems.

By saying impact/significant is meant: your game lags for a moment, starts skipping frames, screen starts freezing, stops, you appear where you didn't go, you have 0-5fps instead of 30+, there's no sound for a while and suddenly a loud one, your game crashes.

Poll options were chosen based on my own experience and general issues often brought up by the community.

Honestly since i play solo pretty much always it's kinda moot for me, the only things that even gave me problems was the occasional exile(only the summoner one atm) would cause a brief pause, and shrines when you get close enough to them which again is just a brief pause.

Stuff that was there but is now fixed, using minion instability and summon skeles...after watching them suicide through packs of monster in their hundreds and leaving all that crap behind it slowed down but i can't say i've seen that since closed beta.

Ground ice effects be it from ice shot or other, it was fixed when they reduced the asset size.

Loading times are fine no matter where i load into, you'll never see more than 5 seconds off the grace timer, it's usually in before 2 seconds are off it.

And while the FPS fluctuate the don't really drop to much to be really noticeable outside those micro stutters when something gets loaded

My client dose not crash, did manage to get it to DC with a bug involving herald of ash, over kill and prolif hitting many targets.
Other than that the occasional DC when MY isp are doing something with the connection.

And while i can play without any significant problem i wouldn't be agains some additional sliders for particle effects(thought tbh i get the feeling this won't really fix anything for more than a few people)

I haven't noticed any problems with any areas or effects and my computer isn't top of the line by any means. My personal bet is that it's more to do with what type of graphics card is being used rather than how powerful it is.

See... a triple A title has time to test their builds on 100s of different configurations before going live. They contract out to testing centers that have access to just about every video card and processor... and different permutations of operating systems and all sorts of whacky stuff that no one would ever think to build.

GGG might have six machines they test stuff on. It's orders of magnitude off.

That short story long, seriously ?

An unemployed dude on a low-end laptop ( not even on a desktop ) is demanding game performance changes ?

I can't vote at work, but would vote all the usual suspects (dominus fight, rain-affected maps etc). I think the polls would have benefited from a control (i.e. 'no map has a significant impact' etc).

In my case, it's not significant effects in terms of lag as much as pissing my wife off because the computer starts getting noisy. But I bought it in 2014 so it's clearly an old potato and I must also be wrong about rubberbanding a lot lately because the speed of light doesn't affect need to resync ;)

I see what you mean, unfortunately polls can't be edited once they are shared, and I think people who don't have any issues whatsover won't bother stopping by and voting.

Hopefully this post doesn't create a negative environment here, that wasn't my intention. As I mentioned I have no right to complain, so I at least help others to share their specific problems by simple voting.
