Curse On Hit with Traps and Asenath's Gentle Touch

The support gem "Curse on Hit" does not work with traps but Asenath's Gentle Touch applies Temporal Chains when using traps.

i.e. Fire Trap - Curse on Hit - Temporal Chains: Temporal Chains will NOT be applied
Fire Trap - Asenath's Gentle Touch equipped: Temporal Chains WILL be applied

It's very inconvenient to have nearly identical wording on how each of the application methods work but have different conditions under which they apply.

"Curse Enemies with Temporal Chains on Hit"
"Supported Skills apply Supported Curses on Hit"

Fire Trap has an original hit through which it will apply the curse from Asenath's Gentle Touch but, for some reason, will not apply it through the support gem. I don't see any reason for it, to be frank. There are no clauses on Curse on Hit that say the player must apply them directly or restrict usage of minions/traps in its description.

Sincerely,
A considerable amount of wasted time and effort.
Curse on Hit applies specifically to the Supported Skill.
That's the only difference in wording, and it's crucial.

The Skill you have Supported with Curse on Hit only places a Trap on the floor. It doesn't actually hit anything. The Fire Trap itself naturally uses a different Skill - it'd be silly if it used the Supported Skill, because that only pops out a copy of itself!

It is like Viper said: the original hit from the trap is done by the trap, not by you. So you will never "hit" anything with Fire Trap. It works the same way with ele reflect: the trap does the damage, so the damage will be reflected to the trap (that no longer exists) and not to you.
