massive sync issues with barrage on torment
so my friends always say barrage is desyncy, I didnt really agree before. I find it makes desync more noticeable due to lack of aoe sure, thats my experience till now using it extensively on standard.
So I just rolled a cast on crit barrage witch in torment and... this is absolutely unplayable? whats up? Heres what I am experiencing I run along, stop, fire at some mobs (usually while holding force stand still, tried with and without, same difference), from the way they die etc I can tell Im out of sync, hit /oos and im like 10 paces behind what Im seeing. K so Im back in sycn now. Run to next pack, fire, notice im out of sync, /oos, Im 10 feet behind myself again. Run to next pack, same damn thing, its constant. Went back in to standard, loaded up my coc shadow, barrage, did a docks run, didnt desync once, its absolutely smooth I am never out of sync. come back to torment its unplayable still, horrendous desync the like of which I have never experienced. This is all solo play connected to the same gateway. ?? whats up with this? I dont desync until I use barrage, I tried just running around and occasionally resyncing, Im never out of sync, till I start using barrage then I get rolled back 10 feet almost every single time. Only when using barrage and only when using it in torment, on standard server barrage works fine, all other skills I have tried in torment work fine and I dont desync at all when using them, tornado, kinetic, siphon etc. If I swap to kinetic right now in torment I am absolutely fine with no sync issues. This was happening yesterday too, ever since I first started using barrage. Its bad enough that I dont think I can play the game with this skill in this league, and honestly thats quite bizarre. I love all you people on the forums, we can disagree but still be friends and respect each other :)

Bumping for visibility.
Currently playing a Barrage Cast on Critical build and it is basically unplayable at higher levels, especially in maps. When firing, and in particular, moving after firing barrage, you can quite reliably expect to desync if there are more than a few mobs on the screen. When you do eventually sync, you're dead and it is pretty frustrating. Strangely, there is almost no desync when using spectral throw or kinetic blast so I suspect the issue relies with the Barrage skill. |
