Static Strike Shadow feels too squishy

Hello everyone,
I just picked up this game a week ago and started building after a guide after LVL40 since I decided that I wouldn't want to ruin my first character.

However, I'm going for the build I desire and feel kind of squishy.
Might there be issues with the order in which i took the skills or is it my gear/me not playing it properly (I usually don't pop Vaal Grace, because I kinda forget it)
