Connotations of the Word Beta

So in this thread,I figure we can discuss the connotations we attach to the word beta, as a break from all the key whining and griping. I'll start, when I hear the word beta, I think beta blockers for blood pressure and beta radiation, so I guess beta makes me think of stress and electrons.

Reminds me of Alpha Beta supermarket from when I was a kid.

I dont know if this is technically a connotation but the way some australians pronounce beta as "beeta."

I think people get confused with bega chese in which bega is pronounced beega.

This annoys me
