PoE Killing Internet Connection on Load Screen

So earlier today, my internet connection completely died. Whole house. Router was blinky (Comcast Westinghouse router straight from the ISP). Waited a while and it finally came back up. Now in PoE when I load into a new area, about 75% of the time my entire internet connection (but just to this PC) dies. A few seconds later, connection is reestablished like nothing happened, but I'm kicked back to the login screen.

This happened once before and I recall trading my ethernet cable's port on the modem with one of my parent's. After that, I had no issues, oddly enough. Anyone experienced anything like this?
Hi ConsPark,

Sorry to hear this is happening to you, it sounds like rather odd problem.

If it's losing the connection to your ISP then I'm leaning towards this being some sort of fault either on your connection or with your modem that's making the connection unstable. You would be best speaking with your provider to see what part of the connection's being lost, seeing if they can run any line tests, and also eliminating whether any equipment on your side might be interfering (depending on your type of connection).

Let us know how it goes.
Has any exile really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like?
I watched the Windows 7 networking screen while this happened, and it appeared that I lost my computer's connection to our home network rather than the network to the ISP, which leads me to believe it's a problem specific to this computer.

Throwing things out there: I've heard of people fixing this by changing the LAN interface power settings (mine is not set to shut off to save power); PoE is the only game that I have this problem with (e.g.: WoW works perfectly) - making me wonder if perhaps PoE uses some oddball ports that the router might not like; could PoE be sending or receiving an abnormal number of packets that's causing the router to go on the fritz? Disclaimer: I don't know much about the intricacies of networking, so I'm just thinking out loud here.

My desktop IS four years old and I game on it every day. Is it possible that my motherboard's LAN interface is getting ready to give out? I also tried to reset my TCP/IP settings to no avail.

Edit: I ran a WinMTR test with US.login.pathofexile.com for the hell of it. During the load screen, loss spiked to 100% and apparently the client (or my PC) began spamming those ports with thousands of packets. I have no idea if this is relevant or helpful.

It's still a bit early to know for sure, but it looks promising - deleting my config files under My Documents seems to have fixed the problem.
I'm having exactly the same issue.. When I connect to the POE server the game freezes, kicks me out and says "an odd disconnect occurred" then my computer completely fails to connect to the internet at all until I reset the router. The odd thing is this only happens to this computer. When it gets kicked off of the internet, all of the other devices running on the same router are just fine. Also, once I reconnect to the internet all of the webpages I test work just fine, but the moment I try to get on it crashes again and I'm stuck with no internet connection until I reset the router. I am currently visiting family and I did not have this issue while at home.. I know nothing about computers but could it be that the path of exile servers don't work with certain routers? If any of you guys can give suggestions as to how to make the game work again I would really appreciate it. I am going to be here for the next three weeks and would love to play on my spare time but its starting to look like I won't be able to until I get home.
