Damage conversion (Hatred) before or after mitigation?

When is the "physical damage added as x" damage conversions applied, before enemy mitigate physical damage or after armor has mitigated physical damage?

The game first calculates Damage Dealt, then sends the Damage packet to the enemy and applies its modifiers. It'd be a completely ridiculous system if enemy armour reduction was part of your Damage calculation. :p

+Flat Damage -> Damage Based On -> Conversion -> (Inc+Red)*More*Less -> defender mitigation -> Damage Taken modifiers

E: Also, Damage based On and Converted Damage also benefit from multipliers to the source-type. Hatred's Cold Damage benefits from Physical Damage multipliers because it's Based On Physical. This rule does not apply to defender-side modifiers, so it will not face Armour reduction.

Thank you :)
Next question. When cursed with Vulnerability, can I assume conversion happens before the physical portion of the damage is increased by the curse on the monster?
Vulnerability is a defender-side modifier; this means it occurs long after Conversion is handled. Additionally, being defender-side it no longer benefits for example Hatred, as mentioned previously.

Defender-side modifiers can be identied by the keyword 'Taken': Vulnerability grants x% Increased Damage Taken.
