Item highlighting bug?

Used to work fine forever, has been glitched for a few days:

Usually when I toggle it off by pressing Z, it still keeps showing rares, uniques, orbs, maps, etc valuable drops for a few seconds or longer.

Now it stopped totally.
I turn it off like I always done, clear ten rooms... nothing seems to drop, at all, 100% empty screens forever. Then when I turn it on again by hitting Z it shows rares, orbs, maps...

Wtf is going on??

Can anyone confirm this or is it just my game that's messed up?
Hit Z once, highlight always,
hit Z again, highlight only good loot for a few seconds...

that's how it used to work and should work, right? Just doesn't anymore.

I've had it become inconsistent. It will not always show rares that drop but once I hit Z they will be revealed. It also occasionally shows blue and white items.

It works as expected about 80% of the time but it doesn't always.
