Avoid interruption while casting and cast when stunned

My question: will "Avoid interruption while casting" (on the witch side of the passive tree) reduce the chance of activating "Cast when stunned" gem? Or it just makes the stun not literally interrupt and make you stay still while still counting as a stun for the gem?

CoS spells will trigger whenever stun effect is applied to you, but you don't need to get stunned. So it will work if you ignore stun or avoid it, it will work even during stun or block recovery time.
Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.

So unwavering stance can still proc Cast on Stun? Or what ignores stun exactly?

No, that's different, with unwavering enemies can never succeed the stun check against you (or you have 100% chance to avoid stun, but it really amounts to the same).

Actually, I'd like to revise my first post, if you really 'avoid' a stun, CwS won't trigger. We currently have three ways to avoid stun effects:
- True 'stun avoid' you can see on heart of the oak (at ranger start)
- Avoid stun interruption when casting (at witch start)
- Ignore stun effect (native property of energy shield)

So, it goes like this:
- Enemy hits you and passes the stun check
- Stun avoid is checked, if it succeeds you will fully avoid stun
- If it fails you get stunned and CwS is triggered
- If you were casting at the time, avoid interruption is checked, if it passes it doesn't change the fact you were stunned, you will just avoid the flinch
- If avoid interruption failed and you had at least 1 ES at the time, stun ignore is checked, if it passes you will ignore the flinch
