Cold snap and CoC/herald of ice

with cold snap if it is cast on crit does it still have the 4 second cooldown? or is that bypassed by the CoC gem.

also is there anything worth linking to Herald of ice besides ele prolif?

It bypasses the cd as long as you have charges, It DOES drain it very very hard I've tried CoC cold snap haha

Reduced Mana. I doubt Ele Prolif is worth it on any of the heralds.

But the only really good way to use Cold Snap with CoC is when using Voll's Protector. Since all crits generate a p-charge, only some of the time it'll be consumed. CoC only has a chance of casting, anyways.

I was under the impression Ele Prolif would make the shatter effect on the herald of ice shatter more mobs

Prolif isn't worth it on heralds, but reduced mana always is, and i find blind, and mana leech are nice to link if you have spare links as they have 0 mana modifiers.

Ele proliferation may not be so beneficial to hot and hoi but to fire it works perfectly fine

It's sustainable without voll, but with power charge on crit as you gain charges via main attack + cold snap + second spell and you loose only 1 from cold snap. It's prefered to run other spells rather than support gems though and requires high level/quality Pcoc.

Ele profil seemed to help a lot with the freezes for me. You only need to freeze some mobs to freeze the entire pack then. But with decent crit everything is already frozen and the mana multiplier is not small. So not useless but not always worth it.

I put increased rarity on mine, 0 multiplier and i'm pretty sure some mobs die from the shattering of other mobs.

While giving it a 140% MCM. Not worth it.
