Master Experience Question

I am curious about doing quests for the masters that you have in your hideout, and the experience towards their next levels....
I have Elreon, Vorici, and Zana in my hideout, and they are levels 5/7/5 respectively. I do their daily missions every evening to try and level them further with my main toon, who is level 82, but I sometimes will come across the same masters in the game randomly, and am curious if I am getting the same benefits in experience from completing these quests, specifically with one of my lower level alts.

In these situations the missions do not seem to be as difficult as their nightly daily from the hideout. As well, some of my lower alts are LOW LEVEL on lower difficulties like normal or cruel, and will come across these masters, but don't really seem to have a problem with them....

So, am I getting less experience from these outside random missions than I would for the daily missions, and does level of character, or which difficulty level, have a direct effect??

This would be really helpful to me because, despite Zana, I could easily run around in normal difficulty and farm for master missions if they give you the same benefits there as in merciless, and not have to be worried about dying to desync, or mistakes.... Plus it would be TONS faster.

So, my question, if I go out running through cruel difficulty, and come across a random master who gives me a mission, would I get the same experience as if I got that mission from a master I met in merciless difficulty??


In other words, how is the amount of reputation you get with a master determined?? Is i based on where you find them, the master level, or what please??

The XP you get from a master's mission is proportional to the level of the zone the master is located. You can open the minimap and look at the top right to see zone level.

However, doing master missions in zones that are lower level than the one that the master would give you on daily mission have reduced XP. Cruel should be OK for the L5 masters whose zone level is probably in the mid 50s, but will give virtually nothing to the L7 master whose zone level is probably about 70.

edit: Zana of course has higher zone levels per master level compared to the other masters, and she also only appears in maps
