High Gpu usage

Since last patch (i think), this game seems to stress my graphics card (GTX580) pretty much. Gpu usage is now 80-98% most of time and i have sometimes like 250fps, when before it was something 40% and 100fps max.
This ofc causes card to heat pretty much and to sound like a jet engine. I've tried msi afterburner fps limiter, but it didnt solve problem. with it gpu usage was something like 50-98%. Vsync is also out of question, since it gives massive input lag. Every other game i tried after this issue worked just like before. Any ideas how to get gpu usage down? | |

Only ways to get GPU usage down is to lower the demand. This calls for proper frame-limiting settings or vsync.
I'm not sure why you think you get terrible input lag with vsync enabled. I always keep vsync on and have never had an input lag issue in PoE. Last edited by Drakier on Nov 3, 2014, 9:27:13 AM

you can also use D3DOverrider from riva tuner pack to limit fps

What´s the refresh rate of your monitor? 60hz, 75hz, 120hz, 144hz?

Same thing I'm having. I don't know what is causing that. The latest patch ruined this game for me.

Posting "me too" doesn't help anyone... including yourself. If you want help, you need to create your own thread and be far more descriptive about your problem and settings.
