Uh, life rings are meant to go into late game? 30 life can make a big difference, especially when using two of them.

With 2 of them it's about 180 extra life at 200% increased life. This wouldn't be a big impact on your stats, unless you're capped out all your resists including Chaos, then it starts to actually be obviously better than other rings.
