Daily deal not showing in game

Title says it all. While in game, the daily deal does not show up on the log in screen. Also, when the "Daily Deal" tab is selected in the "shop" in game menu-it is always blank.

Note: This is a problem with another account, I'm posting it under mine because I can't remember my wife's PW.

Documents --> My Games --> Path of Exile --> DailyDealCache <-- Does that one exist and is it full of images? if not just get the folder from somewhere or reinstall.

The folder did not exist. I copied the folder from my box to the other but no joy. I tried logging on with my account on her computer, but no go. Tried running as admin, still no go.

I've already tried re-installing

Maybe it is a Win 8.1 thing? I copied the cache file from my machine-it's running Win 7.
