Ping doesn't change whichever gateway I chose

So today I try to log in on EU as usual where I have 60-80 ping and I now have the same ping (160-180) as on the American gateway I played on yesterday. Also if I try to log in on EU, US, or AUS, I will always have the same ping of 160-180. It's not my connection because I'm playing CSGO or Diablo 3 and speedtest are all giving me my usual ping.

So it's seems like my game is "stuck" on the American gateway

I can't provide a winmtr because the website is down and the version on sourceforge is outdated and it's giving me a weird error :(.

Would love some help, thanks

Hey there,

Do you play Path of Exile in a party with other players? If you play in instances created by them, they would be hosted on their gateways (such as the American gateway).

Alternatively, if you are sitting in town or a solo instance, feel free to check your pings and let us know if this seems consistently high. to start with, we recommend resetting your router/modem and using a wired connection. Check that your Firewall and Antivirus programs are not interfering with Path of Exile's connectivity, and if you have any other programs that use your network while you play Path of Exile we recommend disabling them while we diagnose this.

Hey thanks for the fast answer :)

I tried to redownload the game overnight but I still have 160 ping on any gateway :(. I play solo, I have done all of those, I am on wired, I even added an inbound rule in the firewall for PoE, tried to restart the router/pc a few times, tried running the game without any other program running but nothing changes. I played a few days ago with my usual ping and it is not my internet connection because I have 50-60 ping everywhere else (pingtest, csgo, diablo, dota etc).

Here is the WinMTR I did today

Your WinMTR is looking unhealthy starting from the following hop:

Do you get many latency spikes in-game? Do you share your network with any other users? Do you get these latency spikes during any certain times of day?

You're welcome to check these, however the large latency spikes seem indicative of an issue with your ISP. I would recommend sending them your most WinMTR so they can address any issues where they can.

If contacting your ISP doesn't help, you are also welcome to try using a VPN and see if this can identify changes in your connection speed with each gateway.
