Evasion

What does evasion apply to? As in, when I get high evasion and I'm seemingly able to dodge basically everything but what seems to be spells. Such as any kind of AoE spell. Is evasion unable to avoid the damage from AoE spells or DoT spells (such as flame breath from the dock things).

There Are 4 types of damage: attack, spell, dot and secondary. They are mutually exclusive

evasion works for attacks, but none of the others

Evasion allows you to evade attacks and not spells. If you grab Phase Acrobatics on the skill tree, you can "dodge" both attacks and spell damage. Just remember that dodge is separate from evade; they are rolled separately when you are attacked.

Max block and good spell block are a must for late game evasion builds. Add a decent life pool and it's my favorite mitigation...
