Cavern of Anger, Naked Male/Female Ghosts

First off, is the voice that taunts you along with the naked ghost supposed to be Merveil's voice or the ghost's voice? Until now, I had always believed the voice to be the ghost's voice because it faded in and out so well with the naked female ghost. However, the voice is female, and it also plays when the naked male ghost appears; this threw me off when I noticed it. It is odd to see a male ghost and hear a female voice taunt.

If I had a suggestion, it would be to simply remove the male ghost and only have the female ghost because Merveil is female, and a female ghost taunting you to a female boss makes sense, but this is not an audio suggestion.
