Uniques and iLvL question
I know you can chance a Unique from any iLvL of item as long as what your chancing has a unique. But my question revolves around sockets and iLvL. Are uniques exempt from the socket minimal iLvL requirement?
Like if I chance an iLvl 40 item and it rolls into a unique, will the unique be able to roll 6 sockets? Logic says no cause iLvl 50 is needed for 6 sockets but I'm not sure if this applies to uniques, or if uniques are considered iLvl 50+ by default if they are a 2h or a chest. edit; Suppose the question could also be applied to a chest/2h unique that drops pre-50 zone as well. Thanks for the help ~Zen Last edited by Souzen300 on Sep 20, 2014, 5:45:02 PM

No, uniques are not exempt from Ilevel socket limitations. However, i believe you can use Vorici's crafting bench to craft more sockets than the Ilevel would let you get randomly.
