Energy Shield in PvP?

Super noob question: I'm making a caster and speccing too heavily in energy shield seems dumb doesn't it? Because ES can't be recovered by pots, however if I grabbed EB, there's no good aura that scales with INT to compensate for the loss of defense, maybe I should get my defense from moslty other means and grab EB for the ele resistances?

Pvp is quite simple atm.

1- Stack the biggest amount of ES/HP you can
2- Forget resists, they will one shot you even on 75
3- Its better not getting hit than trying to attenuate any incoming dmg
4- Use reduce block gem
5- Enjoy??
