Devouring Totem Question

I've been using Devouring Totem and i like it, But it seems far to slow when it consume's the corpses. Is there a way to speed up how fast it eats the dead? Will faster casting raise its eating speed?

thanks much just wasn't sure if it would ill give it a try. I was afraid that it would just increase the speed at which i cast the spell.
