Character stops casting randomly.

On Dom to keep my distillate up I spam my Flame Totem. After I noticed sometimes my mana doesn't go down and I lose the flask buff I started frapsing. I found out that sometimes seemingly at random my character stops casting flame totem for a second or two despite me spamming the button (I later tried holding it down but that didn't work either).
Anyone have any idea why this happens, or what I could do about it? | |

when you get hit your casting can be interrupted if you get stunned, there are passive nodes to lower the risk to get interrupted while casting.
