Melee survival issues

Without getting spell block (it's severely gear limiting), what is the best way to survive GMP Flame Dogs or Titty Bitches? Arctic Armor is also out of the question because I am Strength based (barely any mana). Especially GMP Flame Dogs, they are by far the largest DPS source to my setup.

Well, max fireresist, high armour and regen/leech/lgoh. Vs. the tentacled miscreations evasion/ondar's guile makes them as harmless as every other projectile attack (you can go afk in front of a pack of beyond archers).
What sucks are the vaal constructs, since their chaos projectiles are considered spells. | |

Yeah.. Even with 79% fire resist they are a problem for me. There is no way I'm going Evasion as a Strength based melee

i use a fire resist flask

Stun doesnt help? I noticed that voidbearers etc stop causing me any harm once in melee as they are stunned and distracted all the time.
Machinegunners can be simply manualy dodged in 9 out of 10 cases. Decoy totem is an old time classic just because it.. works. |
