Converting (more than?) all damage to fire, need help
Hi guys, I am a little bit confused right now about how this works.
Lets say I have 100 physical damage weapon I use molten strike ( %60 physical converted to fire) linked to cold to fire (%50cold to fire) %100 physical damage increase %50 elemental damage increase I take avatar of fire I use hrimsorrow glove(%25 of physical converted to cold) And for shield I use chernobogs pillar (%25 physical to fire) what will be my damage ? Hrimsorrows Covert your Physical Damage to Cold, not to Fire.
EDIT: ah, you fixed it. You cannot Convert over 100% of a Damage type. Conversion from Skills is not scaled down, everything else will be scaled down to fit the remaining unconverted Damage. 60% Phys to Fire from Molten Strike stays as such. 50% Phys to Fire + 25% Phys to Fire + 25% Phys to Cold scales down to fit the remaining 40%. 40/100 = 0.4 50 * 0.4 = 20% Phys to Fire 25 * 0.4 = 10% Phys to Fire 25 * 0.4 = 10% Phys to Cold 90 Fire Damage, 10 Cold Damage Cold to Fire adds 30% of Cold Damage as Fire Damage: 10 * 0.3 = 3 93 Fire Damage, 10 Cold Damage 50% Cold to Fire Conversion: 10 * 0.5 = 5 98 Fire Damage, 5 Cold Damage Avatar of Fire negates all Cold Damage: 98 Fire Damage All your Fire Damage is Converted from Physical, one way or another. As such, it benefits from both Physical and Fire Damage multipliers: 98 * (1 + (100/100) + (50/100)) = 245 Fire Damage Removing the Hrimsorrows improves your Damage by 5 points, and allows you to drop the Cold to Fire gem. Oh, actually, I forgot that Avatar of Fire also Converts 50% Cold to Fire (totaling 100%), so you'd be dealing a tiny amount more Damage than what I had there.
103 * 2.5 = 257.5, rounds to 257 Fire Damage. (not worth it :P ) |
