Seemingly bad RNG with map drops

Hey guys,

so I am currently level 82 in the Rampage league and Im having a blast. There's one problem tho, I am still running 68/69 maps, and this isn't normal. In the recent one month league I was running 74 maps by this level and had a steady base, but in this league I dont seem to get any map drops and if I do its always -1.

Then there's people saying how can you not have a map base with zana and strongboxes, well I run about 40-50 maps a day at least, and I encounter about 1-2 zana's and have not encountered a single carto strongbox yet.

Im rolling all my maps with +Magic monsters, +Rare monsters or +Pack size.

Can anyone tell me what Im doing wrong? :(

What part of "RNG" did you not understand ?

It's all about the carto boxes. You've just had a bad streak. It sucks, especially in the low 80s. If you're soloing you're likely to end up in this situation around that level range, and it gets super frustrating.

Don't spend too much currency rolling maps or you'll go broke.

I know everyone will through it under RNG, but on default since the day I found a 78 map I've never run out of 78 but 2 weeks before the patch I ran completely dry and even 77 ran out.
Now because I had many 76 maps. I now have a few 78 maps again. But my other guild members are reporting the same not being able to normally sustain 78 maps. I've got a feeling that because of the carto boxes and Zana they put a cork on map drops. But carto boxes are so rare I only got 2 and one was in a 71 map.

On a sidenote the currency drops are way better for me! yesterday I've found my 3th exalt this week.

I haven't gotten any; they gave you mine.

Map drops have been good for me. Plus I've ran into Zana 3 times and have been doing her dailies and have had 3 cartographer's boxes (I alt/aug/regal them).

The expansion has been good for maps.

Guess I've been unlucky then. I did find my first carto in a lvl 72 zana daily yesterday, that gave me 8 maps, sadly 3 were 67. But also some 70+.

I have the same problem all maps 66-68 mostly with occasional 71 drops... One cartographer spawned so far but it had to happen in a non-map area so it was pretty useless. And im lvl 80 now.

I've had 3 Cartographer boxes that literally dropped zero items so far.
