Need Advice: Atziri as Melee in the new league.

Im playing a DW claws reave/dualstrike shadow. Mapping and Piety/Dom runs are quite easy.

This is my Skilltree at lvl 73 atm:



This is my gear atm:




My plan until 85 is to get the lifewheel at the scion complete and get the duelist lifenodes OR the dualwieldblocknodes beneath IR.

Now my question is:

Is that gear good enough to beat normal atziri as soon as I hit 85 ?

(ofc i'll try to get a 5L at least for my reave, but I mainly will use Dualstrike VS Atziri anyways so it doesnt matter that much I guess.)

in my opinion your gear is not good enough.

also melee atziri is brutal, it's not just the crazy dps you'll need but protection, i.e. purity of fire/lightning.

atziri by melee is the most difficult route.

i expect you can't do it without a gear upgrade, weapons mostly, and probably not until level 90.

also too 20/20 gems (mostly the reason you have to be 90 - so you can level the gems back up).

please prove me wrong !

You didn't post your dps, but for the atziri fight you will need at least 30K single target dps and enough AOE dps to kill the adds in her healing phase. For the rest of you fight you can dodge pretty much everything except the spears. So atziri wouldn't be the biggest problem. The problem might be trio bosses tho, the first time you do atziri you will most likely fail on them, you really need some practice.

My DPS with all hatred/heralds is 25k Dualstrike and 15k Reave.

I will upgrade my gear too, but running both purities means I cant run Hatred for sure. Or I need to drop both heralds for Hatred/ 2 purities, but i need to go for the auranodes above ranger then.

Boem maybe able to help you with this hes a melee only dude with a bit of knowledge on this who is always floating around the forums.

your rings and ammy could easily be upgraded fairly cheaply. get better added phys and better res on them, and life if you can afford it. add melee splash if u need AoE.. 15kreave/25k dual strike is rather good tho, so if ur life/res/armor/eva are good enough u should be able to do atziri. a

so trio will kill you... vaal maybe... atziri is possible for every build with enough practice

For Trio you need either :
- Immortal Call all time up
- or High Block + Armor
- or High Block + Chaos + Vaal Pact

Just sell your Divination Destilate and get BoR + WoE + Lazhwar + Rainbows for it and kill Atziri :)

But you're not geared... I wouldnt waste the set, if you get to lvl85 maybe just for fun :)

I played a hybrid tank during ambush My stats where:
5.2k eHP
30k single dps
19k aoe

The main issue was the aoe. I had to pop atziri flask in order to kill them. So I wouldnt was my time with your current gear. Remember back then I had 83% fire resistance w/o flask and 70% spell block, both which have been removed/relocated. So this could provide a greater challenge

Your problem will most likely be lack of spell counters.

Arguably atziri's flameblast's got nerfed (a little) by the patch, but i figure it will still kill you outright.

Out of the 3 fights the second phase will be the easiest since you can just do immortal call to beat it.

Your dps looks fine for the healing phase, i just foresee problems vs the vaals/atziri in terms of spell's.

I would not recommend it unless you can use rainbows/lazwar and have a decent portion of spell block and even then your movement will be important.

Your dps is fine, you dont need 30k for normal atziri lol... maybe try to get a 5l to make your time easier in the minion phase, if you cant just use a spell totem linked to temp chains and mow them down slowly.

but you will have to use purity of fire/lighnting for her and rez flasks
