How to faceroll Hardcore: Totem Templar Build

I saw you (barely) mentioned traps.

If you go this build (or something like it), using traps helps a ton really. I run a summoner templar, with dual totems and traps. It works wonders.
Granted, not a dual totem templar, but here is what i found:

Rejuv totem used together with Zealot's Oath is as close to immortality as my templar ever got!

It allows me to "heal" my ES pretty darn quick - and because ES is being healed I can maintain 100% HP for much longer then without Zealots - this means I take advantage of the Rejuv totem healing even at 100% HP!

That said... anyone knows if Minion Life support gems work with totems? It would be great to increase totem life by 30%~ish ;P Is there any way to actualy see how much HP my totem has?
Can always take the node before dual totem node if your near it :]
Since flame totem has low damage and attacks quickly, chance to ignite is a terrible support because the burn damage will be very low and will not stack.
This is also why added lightning damage would not make shock stacks, because you would not be doing enough damage for the mobs to be shocked long enough.
is it worth to get chaos inoculation for a totem-armor-block-lightening templar build?
Is this better than the Spark Totem?

Hard to pick up too many block nodes as u need a lot of energy shield nodes.
Ranged mobs aren't too difficult, as you can just place a new flame totem right next to them. Flame totem has no cooldown, and the only thing preventing you from continually spamming it is the relatively large mana cost.

I wouldn't get Chaos Innoculation on a Templar, as you would have to avoid all of the HP nodes near the templar tree. Most of the totems you'll be using require strength to use, and the HP portion of this stat would be wasted.

I chose the fire elemental damage nodes early on as I was using firestorm to get to level 31. If you are willing to go through a slower start and want to go around these nodes, by all means try it out.

I'm going to try the Flame Totem + LMP/GMP + Life on Hit combo now, I'll let you know how it works out.

Edit: Apparently life gain on hit doesn't do anything with Flame Totem, unfortunately. :(

Mmmm, valid points. What would you suggest to go with it? Currently using LMP + Lightning damage + Projectile speed. If what you say about shock is true, I'm at a loss as to what to go with it. Maybe one flame totem and a pimped out skele brotem? I'm not sure.

Edit: Since life-on-hit doesn't work, maybe life leech?

Double edit: Just tried, life leech, doesn't seem to heal totems at all either. Gem description fail.

Cool. I thought you could go south into the Templar life nodes, instead of west into the elemental (fire) nodes and save time and respec points. Which also means you get reduced mana cost. I run with a group using Ice Nova/Firestorm on HC. I hardly get below my 11 ES.

Passive skill tree build
