Oriental. As in, from the Orient, mainly meaning eastern Asia. It's a term that dates back to the Roman Empire.

Ah, another D3 fan.

Not that I don't like cool mage outfits and scantily clad woman, but it won't fit to the overall dark, gritty theme of PoE.

I can understand imports and exports, but I do agree that it just wouldn't fit with the dark scheme of Path of Exile.

It's like having a Diablo III skin in Diablo. It just wouldn't fit the darker setting.

How does a clothing item effects how dark or not the world is? There are pirate hats in game ! Like Jack Sparrow... now thats very dark, lol!

TL;DR.

A google search of Jack Sparrow, Captain Jack Sparrow.

A google search of Jack Sparrow's Hat.

A google search of PoE Tricorne.

I'd say that Captain Jack Sparrow's hat is very different from the Path of Exile Tricorne.

Additionally, hats like that do not instantly translate to pirates. They were worn by many different types of people, including governors. So should we have governors and barristers in Path of Exile?

No, we shouldn't. I don't even know why you'd try to compare something based on bias.

So we have centurion armor in game with the new supporter pack. By your own logic, should we now recive Roman, Greek, Persian and Carthaginian armors, oh and elephants, everyones favorite!

Speaking of the Greeks, if you ever notice the ship wrecks, most of them are of Greek design, as they where in times of antiquity.

Vaal built pyramids, ok so Egypt. Awesome, every1 should be getting a chariot !

Moon temple and Sun temple. So then we get to wear aztec feathers, or jaguar skin armors?

Olmec maps ! So where is Chichen itza?

Those are but a few.

Just because some idea of how a mage should look like doesnt apply to u, does not mean it is somehow wrong. I never associated witches with Europe, all those witch hunts i simply connected with supreme ignorance. Magic is a thing of the East, and the Eastern cultures and civilizations. Europe was always material, it always valued money and reason above all else, even human life. How much is a life worth? If u apply ethical morality of US culture, more so then European, a life is only worth of the sum of his/her possessions, and not a penny more. Any refusal of this fact, is hypocrisy, displayed in ample poverty, social and racial inequality, inside one of the three planetary largest, wealthiest superpower (the other two being Russia and China...arguably EU if it ever becomes more federal and unitary).

Witches and magic, indeed even piety and religion are all things ultimatly allien to Western cultures, they come from the East. West had fallen into ignorance fallowing collapse of the Western Roman Empire, and Theocratical reforms in the East Empire, reforming secular Imperium Romanum into that became Byzantium. But even that was overcomed, by 15-16th century, secular movement had reasserted it self, via renaissance and the enlightenment eras. Religion of the West is money, science and pragmatic lifestyle, ie atheism. Magic is simply not a Western consept.

Nice troll. You had me going.
