Power charges how they do work?

so i am lvl 65...and i still have no idea how these power charges work lol....like how do i get them? how do i use them?what power charges suits for my caster witcher? any info....

1. Like every kind of charge you get them from skills, Power Siphon is an example of a skill granting you power charges.

2. You don't use them, they are there and increase your crit chance thats it.

3. There is only one type of power charge... power charge so power charges fit your witch best.

You can only get Power Charges from the Power Siphon wand skill (and maybe a unique item or two?). Just having them up increases crit, but you can spend them with Discharge or Cold Snap. The system is pretty bare-bones right now, seems like charges were just recently added and not at all fleshed out yet.

Hit 'c' in game, click the tab labeled 'charges' and see what all types of charges do.

In short:
Frenzy charges grant attack and cast speed.
Endurance charges grant damage reduction and elemental resists.
Power Charges grant critical strike chance.

Further more there are some additional passives that add extra effects.

Endurance charges can be made to grant 0.2% of Max HP regenerated per second
Frenzy Charges can be made to increase evasion by an amount I do not recall.
Power charges can be made to increase spell damage by 2% per charge.

Endurance charges can be gained with the 'enduring cry' skill and from killing enemies cursed with 'warlord's mark'

Frenzy charges can be gained by attacking enemies using the 'frenzy' skill and by killing enemies while under the effect of the 'blood rage skill'.

Power Charges can be gained by killing enemies using the 'power siphon' skill. They can also be gained by donning the unique 'Voll's protector' and critically hitting enemies.


This brings up a good point, why do the two other charges have two ways of getting them when Power Charges only has one? (Not counting the item).

Great. They don't need that many more, then just need one more, then there's symmetry between the ways to gain charges.
