Reducing enemy resistance

I currently run a flameblast witch.
For the time being i plan to use flameblast + faster casting + echo + fire penetration.
I have following question:
1. is it worth to try boosting damage using both flammability & elemental weakness curse and elemental equilibrium keynode?
2. How penetration, curses and equilibrium would interact with each other?

It's worth it, but be careful with reflect.

Some enemies can't be cursed so I think equilibrium would be big help there.

It all stacks, if one curse reduces resist by 30%, the other by 40% and you got EE debuff on top, you reduced enemy's resist by 120%. Still, dual cursing is a chore and 'curse immune' is a very common enemy mod and flameblast doesn't really need help in killing normals.

Anyway, it just gets old really fast, after some time you realize you'd be clearing away just fine if you just blast around with your main skill with elemental penetration and curse if needed (and if works). It's just a personal impression, the setup does work and it can be worthwhile but it's annoying as hell to do it all the time.
Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.

I think it'd be redundant.
Flameblast is now capable of some pretty insane damage to the point that EE is barely worth the time it'd take for you to set up the combo.

If you can one-shot it, you probably didn't need to EE it in the first place.
If you can't then the combo really is just a tedious piece of god-bothering.

I'd be more worried about reflect.

Curses and EE apply before the monster's Resistance Cap is checked. Penetration applies afterwards.

If a monster has 150% Resists, and your Curse reduces this by 50%, they are left with 75% Resists after the cap is checked (the Curse makes no difference). Penetration then applies to the 75% value.

Basically, Pen is mandatory.

I decided to drop elemental equilibrium, it will free up some skill points and 4l (totem spork with gmp used to proc euilibrium). I think i'll save both curses tho, it may be useful on tougher enemies. Atm i use doedre's damning ring, so if i decide to use only 1 curse in the end i wont't have to make many changes, only changing ring and taking out skill gem.

Initial idea was to use shock nova + increased aoe + curse on hit + 2 curses in pillar of caged god, proccing EE, curses and (with some luck) shock stacks, but it would be too expensive and constant swapping isnt very convenient.

running a flameblast build also, burn build though. Dual curse is very good, most fire resistant mobs have very high fireres, altough im using ele weakness+ temp chains. Hate those burning mobs running away. I can pretty much 1 shot all white packs up to 76 maps even without max stacks and i usually curse after fb for burn portion only. Ee is too much of hassle for quite minimal gain. Theres a new uniq ring coming with EE for only the gem inside it which might prove very good for using o ly for harder rares and bosses

EE is worth the "hassle" far more than curses. It is one click, same as you casting curses. Any curse resistant mob and you are basically losing crap ton of damage. Flameblast is a perfect skill to use with EE, believe me. I will always say that ColdSnap+Trap+EleProlif+ColdPen is just pure awesome. Not only it triggers EE instantly for whole packs it also stops fast moving monsters, freezes rares/bosses and gives you enough time to channel as much as you want. Goats, frogs, chargers? Stopped mid flight/run awaiting to get blasted to hell.

Thats good idea, though i'd rather use cold snap + trap + multi trap + proliferation
