ANGER Skill Gem (does it really resolves anything?)

I found this Anger Skill Gem awhile ago and have been using it for my Avatar of Fire with Infernal Blow. Without it I am doing 1k of fire damage currently and with it it's 1200 damage.

It's cataclysmic to balance your mana with 60% of it gone :o and in the early stages of play I had to strike a few times, run off to recharge...

Am I missing out on a trait here; It has to be good if there is a special "micro-transaction" effect for the damn skill, right?

Anger is a fantastic aura, with the correct gear & build. On my old elemental buzzsaw character, it jumps my DPS from 9082 up to 14,500 DPS. This aura alone makes up for about 40% of my damage.

Anger only adds fire damage, so there is no connection betweeen avatar of fire and anger, so no idea why you mentioned that.

To make any DPS aura work you need passive skill points in "reduced mana reserved" (lowers the mana you reserve for auras) and "increased effect of auras" (increases the damage output of the aura).

Or you could get "inner Force", which has the same effect.
Just because I'm paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get me.
Apparently a skill has to be "good" to warrant having a microtransaction version.

Not saying Anger is bad, but your logic concerning microtransaction is pretty baseless.

The reduced mana gem and a high attack speed help a lot if you want to use flat damage auras and get a reasonable effect from them

Maybe you should learn more about the game before making judgment on one of the most powerful skill gems in the game.

And that was unnecessary and ill-bred.

Thanks for the links :) I have yet to see more Gems as I've only hit Cruel, recently.
Looking forward to experimenting with more combos!
