[SOLVED] Bandit choice reset

It seems I'm having some unexpected issues with the bandit quest reward.

I decided to reset my bandit choice for Merciless from Eramir to Alira for +1 power charge.


I followed the recipe, got 20 regrets + Lapis amulet
sold it to Greust, got the book, tried using it by right click - didn't work, didn't have a spare skill point.
Used an orb of regret, tried again and it worked. The book disappeared, I got the "Traitor" achievement but no power charge.

I tried relogging, visitting the bandits again. Quest description says I killed all bandits and got skill point from Eramir.

Any chance someone could help me out?
Please let me know if I should provide anything more.

I'm sure now that my norm/cruel rewards are ok.
You can see that I've got both: helped all three Bandit lords and Eramir's reward
Still no Power charge from Alira's book.

Isn't there some sort of log of my character changes?
It does keep the quest rewards from what I can tell.

If you link your tree and a screenshot of your character screen showing your charges, we can see what happened and if there's a problem.

Edit: it would help if you linked a screenshot showing the results of /passives too

Without having that stuff, my best guess is you were in another difficulty when you clicked the book so you got the Alira reward in cruel or normal instead.

I'm positive I was on merci when I used the book... maybe I'll be able to verify this in about 8-9 hours when I'm out of the office.

I have 4 Power charges according to the character tab where I should have 5 now:

3base
1 from the tree
1 from Alira

Maybe there's something I'm missing.

Doesn't this process undo your choice, and doesn't automatically apply the choice of another bandit? So you still have to go to the Bandit whos reward you desire, and help them...

They state this though: Gains Oak's favour, Gains Kraityn's favour, Gains Alira's favour and Gains Eramir's favour (passive point)

I had thought the same and went to visit all three again. They all attacked me right after I clicked them.

Thanks for your support Rhys. IT is indeed unlikely that I have chosen Alira in norm,I was quite positive I did not use IT on norm... I feel awkward now. If you're positive on that norm reward IT has to be the case and i just wasted your time.
