Rat's Nest vs. Devotos

So I was playing around with my crit dagger spectral throw guy tonight and I started wondering why Devotos costs so much more than rats nest and what players prefer it so much that they would pay that kind of difference. My rats nest above I believe costs around 2ex on standard while a Devotos is something like 20ex. Even if I had a Devotos right now I don't know if I would even want to use it in place of rats nest. As far as I can tell Devotos mainly offers some decent armor, 10% more movement speed, and some nice chaos resist. While rat's nest offers very nice global crit chance and good rarity. As I am typing this I guess I can see how someone would prefer the chaos resist and to be a bit faster, but I would have a hard time giving up the extra crit on rats nest, not to mention Devotos has the ten percent reduced physical damage. Is the chaos resist and movement speed on Devotos really worth that kind of price difference? Which helm do you prefer? I'm going to sleep now, will check this thread tomorrow. " I think you failed to notice the 16% attack speed on Devoto's. But for crit dagger, yeh.. you may want to go with the Rat's Nest. Or personally - my favourite, Starkonja's for that life crit life-based builds hunger for. Devoto's also has a massive amount of dex(50-65!) which is huge for dex hungry builds.

Devoto makes running blood rage on melee chars easy. Bonus dexterity to account for requirements and chaos resist to make you take less damage/regen more life.

Getting dex can be a huge pain in the ass for res tech builds, which coincidentally have no use for crit.
Two different items for two completely different sets of needs. Also, devotos is really rare. IGN: Smegmazoid

The only thing rat's nest has over devoto is the iir. You get huge dex from devoto, more movespeed, phys damage reduction, chaos res, pinch of armor, and a cool footprint to top it off.

" I'm pretty confident that the phys damage reduction reduces YOUR damage. Its a negative thing not a positive. Ya rats nest has the IIR but if your a crit build then your also missing out on the nice crit. Standard Forever
