Is anyone using a spellcaster duelist??

Is it even possible? I am not interested in hearing theorycrafts. I want to see people post their builds here and share why is it not possible. If it is possible, do it and show me, dont just theorycraft. Talk is cheap!

Of course it's possible, it just has no advantages. Both duelist paths are attack based.

" This. Any class in PoE CAN do pretty much anything. But the idea is that each class has some sort of intended specialization and if you want to do something completely opposite to that, you still can do it, but you're likely to have to spend 20 or so points on a Skillgrimage to the other end of the tree to do so. 20 points that the intended class for that type of skill won't have to spend and can instead use on further supporting it or on defensive stats or something else more beneficial. A duelist is a fighter class. He specializes in melee weapons and somewhat in bows. Most of the good spellcasting nodes are completely on the opposite side of the tree. At best, you might be able to make a duelist build using spells linked to cast on crit with an attack skill to actually proc them. Even there, crit would be more of a shadow's specialization, so that or scion would be better choices. |

" Dual Wands. Clarity and Determination for Auras. Flameblast, Iron Will, Chance to Ignite, Increased Burning Damage, Life Leech, Fire Penetration in 6L. And use Fire Trap as 2nd skill in a wand with +2 Fire Gems & +1 All Gems. Link it with Empower & Added Lightning Damage. |
