Found Nycta's Lantern! What build?

So, I want to make a build centered around this one item. The only requirement is that I want to be able to use it up until ~lvl70 i.e. so I can use it in low lvl maps and level with it. Are there any nice/fun builds which could use this item? Considering the low physical dmg, I'd assume that EK or traps would be good choices. Anyway, any tips are appreciated! :) | |

Glacial Cascade is the only spell that can take advantage of all 3 supports.
You need to do physical damage to take advantage of added fire damage. You need to do cold damage to take advantage of cold to fire. With the added fire damage and conversion you can take advantage of fire penetration. As for viability of such a build? Well I found Glacial Cascade to be an awesome spell for leveling, so I imagine it'll work on the way up, but I don't know about how "good" it would be endgame, by trying to convert damage. Maybe Hrimsorrow too, to convert more physical to cold to fire? Sounds like a stretch. I've found the unique to be good for level 41 when you don't have anything else with 40-50% spell/elemental damage, but I don't think it's THAT end game viable. |

" It already has added fire. Better off doing a different support for no overlap. Added Cold damage (converts to fire too), added chaos damage (not likely to be resisted), faster projectiles (longer range, slight damage buff), or empower (this is best, but also most expensive/time consuming to level) would do better there. |

" Interesting idea, will check that skill out, didn't even know it existed. :) As for endgame, I'm happy as long as the build/nycta can survive in low level maps (>70) since I mostly play public map runs. So no need to gear/build around dealing with high level maps which I will never afford. | |
