Game Running Full Screen only on Non-Primary Display?

I dual screen from a gaming laptop, 3840 x 1080, and i can't get the game to run full screen or full window properly. Before it would pop up spanning across both displays when switching from window to full, then it would only pop up on the laptop screen. I run my monitor as the primary display so that other games would full screen to that display rather than the laptop screen. Completely the opposite result in my case with PoE. I then figured out that the game wants to run full screen/window on the non-primary screen. So I opted to make the laptop screen primary and that basically solved my problem because changing the display adapter in the game's settings does nothing. Is it just me, or doesn't this seem counter intuitive?

Before you guys ask, yes my drivers are up to date and this laptop runs both Intel HD 4600 and Nvidia GT 750M. For some reason the Intel chip is what controls display output and not the 750M so my only two adapter options in graphics settings are "Intel(R) HD Graphics 4600 (#0)" and "Intel(R) HD Graphics 4600 (#1)." And before you guys ask, yes the game IS being rendered by the 750M processor. I am able to confirm that with GPU-Z.
