DOEDRES’S TENURE VELVET GLOVES Bug

The item is the following one : DOEDRES’S TENURE VELVET GLOVES – 40% increased spell damage + 10 intelligence +16 maximum energy shield+ 20% reduced cast speed the point is , only the energy and intelligence bonus are working. The spell damage it’s still the same with or without it and the cast speed is actually higher . I tested it in minions across the map and when I have the legendary item equipped I attack a lot slower than when I’m without it.

The damage part should work, can you check that again?
Considering cast time, it is correct that you will cast slower. Your cast speed is reduced, less cast speed means slower casting. |

I'm having the same problem with the gloves. The Spell Damage isn't working. Everything else including the reduce cast speed is working fine though.

The Spell damage part is working. But the supported skills must be "Spells"
If you look at the DPS screen the DPS might raise/fall a bit or stay the same depending on skills and rolls. The gloves are intended to be used for skills that don't require cast speed because they have over time effects for example. |

I think this gloves are wrong. Ex: i have a gloves: "DEMON TALONS SILK GLOVES" QUALITY 20% ENERGY SHIELD 50 18 DEX 21 INT 27% INCREASED ENERGY SHIELD 11 MEXIMUM ENERGY SHIELD 3 blue holes i put a Ice Spear on one of them Damage per second 42.6 casts per second 1.69 Now i switch the gloves, and put the "DOEDRE'S TENUER VELVET GLOVES" 47% INCREASED SPELL DAMAGE 10 INT 16 MAX ENERGY SHIELD 20% REDUCED CAST SPEED and put the same ice spear on it. result: Damage per second 44.1 casts per second 1.46 so, the reductions of cast speed semms to work ok, but the damage, absolutely not. |

You do realise your Casts per Second directly influences your Damage per Second?
Check your damage per hit instead and you'll see it works fine. |

You are dealing more damage per hit, but at a slower rate, which is making your "Damage Per Second" lower than when using other gloves.
The benefit is that you are hitting harder, but slower, which means that you will for example; have a higher chance to stun, and apply elemental status ailments with the gloves on. The cast speed reduction is more influential than the spell power increase in this case. They seem to be working correctly based on testing and the numbers you provided. | |

But i think this gloves are not equilibrated.... only an opinion... The reduction of casting is a strong penalty, and only a small benefit on damage. For an orange item, i think the stats are awful. Maybe for a yellow... I have other orange items, and the benefits they provide , in comparison of that ones, are very powerful. Maybe if spell damage about 100, or let 40, but speed cast reduce to 10 instead 20.... I tested, and my witch is more efficient with the older gloves. Thank you ;D P.D. sorry for my english XD |

So this item, drop in a lvl60 map, is meant for lvl12 players.. is not?
and, ofc, a random orange and similar level item, beats this gloves... ex: i finished until merciless with a warrior with a 2h axe orange lvl18. Only compare this item with another of the same level... this gloves will be yellow, not orange. |
