BSOD With Realtek HD Audio
|
I get BSOD upon logging out(uncommon) Its happened 3 times in the past 15 log outs. (Exiting the game to my desktop) It makes a highpitched Screetch when I hit my desktop, which is probably from the game.
Also the --softwaresound fix isnt possible as I have Windows Vista. Any other fixes? or does anyone else have this problem? Member since Closed Beta 1/18/13

ye i think too its not the realtek hd audio, use it too and so far everythings ok, but since im stuck in rivers crossing and cant get to dark forrest, but u said it was when u leave the game, so for me it didnt happen once, so i think ur problem is elsewhere.

My windows crashes(I think that means BSoD) after about 30min. of playing. I have REALTEK HD audio. I have tried --softwareaudio and --nosound, none of them work. Please help I cant stand the feeling when me and my friends are in a boss fight and only my system crashes. :C

" In this case, the BSOD was caused by video driver. Try to reinstall, update/downgrade graphics drivers. |

Just going to copy my other response:
-- You are correct in that it's being caused by your video driver. This particular fault is likely to be caused by either poor driver implementation, excessive hardware load or possibly a power issue. Apart from updating your video drivers, try the following: * Resit your video card. * Ensure it's physically configured properly (e.g, sufficient power supply, auxiliary power supply is avail.) * Lower the load on the card by reducing rendering settings (particularly resolution) * Reduce the game's process priority to low. You can also disable the system responsible for raising this fault by setting/adding the following registry value Key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\GraphicsDrivers Value: TdrLevel Type: DWORD Data: 0 It is important to understand that disabling this feature will only solve the problem if, in short, there's a transient issue with the video driver/card. Elsewise, your system will merely hang given the same underlying scenario and you will be forced to do a hard reset of your computer. "The problem is there ARE secure netcodes" -- Pewzor
