How does DIVINE orb work?
|
Firstly, here are weapon physical damage prefixes:
![]() Lets say my weapon has "Flaring" prefix with values 19-38 and I want to get same prefix with higher values. When I use divine orb will prefix gets "locked" and only numeric values change (from 19 to 25 min and from 38 to 45 max) OR does divine orb change prefixes also? So I might end up with "glinting" prefix 1-2 after using divine? I need 100% sure answer from experienced player. Thanks in advance. if your item has 19-38 it falls under the itemlevel 77 bracket so it will roll 19-45 damage
or it could be in the itemlevel 65 bracket and roll lower Last edited by lolbam#6898 on Apr 7, 2014, 8:49:17 PM

I see. So if my weapon is itemlevel 77 with "flaring" prefix it will stay that way (the same prefix) when using divines.
So what is the best way to craft powerful weapon? Use eternal and exalted orbs until I get all six best prefixes i want and then roll their numeric values with lots of divines? "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing" - Edmund Burke

Divines re-roll the value of the mod you have. They cannot change it to a different mod with different stat ranges.

to illustrate what mark_ggg has stated if you use a divine orb on your weapon you roll the flatphysical damage in the same bracket as is now on your weapon. so you will get a new min damage (value 19-25 ) and a new max damage roll (value 38-45)- For example 22-45 could be your new roll. But keep in mind a divine rerolls all stats on the weapon (all prefixes and suffixes)
So you could get a lower attackspeed and phys% roll of you have them on that weapon resulting in lower dps than before the divine usage. Last edited by Sundrino#1819 on Apr 8, 2014, 8:39:30 PM

and why can't it change the tiers ?
as long as the tier is limited by the ilevel of the item anyway, it would make divines far, far more useful. that way when your ilevel 72 rare had a tier 1 roll, it might actually be worth using a divine on it. a rare as hell orb that's only marginally useful. *sigh* |
