Power Level Uniques for Spell Caster

I have a good grasp on the lowbie uniques that really help with early level progression for melee and ranged, but don't usually play caster. I am going to make a Shadow and he will end-game be a caster. I am tempted to go down the damage tree and then respec later, but...I think I'll use Freezing Pulse and stick with a true caster all the way through, as long as there are some early/cheap uniques I can buy that will help (aka + spell dmg, whatever).

What will I need? Let's start with...

Wanderlust

Fastest way to power level a caster: don't use spells.

Gear up as melee or ST and powerlevel, then convert over to your desired build.

Lifesprig is great, but expensive. Searing Touch is great for fire but you lose a shield so not very good for freeze pulse. Doedre's Tenure gloves are really good early, you lose some cast speed for a lot of spell damage, so early game your dps goes up and your mana consumption goes down. Later those will get detrimental, but they're good for normal and sometimes into cruel. Stone of Lahzwar gives cast speed and mana on top of spell block, while Karui Ward is pretty good for FP because the Projectile Speed gives you a bigger shot and giving you easy Dex and Str to use LMP and Life Leech later, and the more expensive Atziri's Foible will solve all your mana problems. Asenath's Mark helmet gives Cast speed and mana regen, making it good until a3 cruel for some casters.

Just use Searing bond or flameblast with the recent buff they can get you to merciless easily Searing bond won't need a link and flameblast you'll probably want faster casting at the least
