you can't use scours on a unique. The only way you could get the white astral
would be to start with a white astral use an eternal orb on it then chance orbs to get the unique version and then use the eternal orb on the unique to get the white astral back. This scenario is helpful if you do it with a base item which can have more than 1 unique through chance orbs. For example if you start with a 6l white Occultist Vestment and chance an Infernal mantle before getting shavs. |

You can get a scouring effect with unique amulets using a vendor recipe:
If you use a unique amulet + red gem + blue gem + green gem with the vendor you get a white onyx amulet of the same ilvl. Popular recipe for "shitty" race reward amulets that can be transformed into more valuable lvl 100 onyx amulets. So if using an eye of chayula with the above recipe you will have a "scouring" effect in getting a white onyx out of a unique onyx. A race reward Blackheart + gem should give you a white resistance ring of the same level (100), but that ain't exactly scouring. |
