Wrath does not receieve benefit from added cold damage gem

Pre-Existing Conditions:
Class: Shadow
Gems socketed in helmet, linked with two spells

Steps to Duplicate
1.) Equip the Wrath gem
2.) equip the "Added Cold Damage" support gem into a linked socket.
3.) look at the tooltip for the wrath spell, notice there's no cold damage displayed
4.) Open the character information window
5.) disable wrath
6.) Notice there's no change in cold damage
7.) enable wrath
8.) notice there's still no change

Expected Results: Wrath (And other Aura Gems) should be affected by support gems such as "Added Cold Damage"

Thanks

Wrath does not deal damage, so it doesn't benefit from damage increases. Instead, it adds a flat amount of base damage to all attacks.
Everything's working as intended.

If it did work, it'd be incredibly broken, by the way.
You can't add damage to a skill that never deals damage. This is working correctly.
If it helps, auras create buffs, they don't do anything else.

To elaborate on Vipermagi's point, if Wrath did work with auras, it would be trivial to run multiple flat auras that all add damage, causing the effect of certain support gems to stack multiple times... for very little mana cost.

I kinda thought that might be the case, but it's better safe than sorry, is this something that is asked all the time? Maybe it would be helpful to list it on the subtext of the support gem?

Just so i'm clear, do auras not benefit from any support gem? for exaample the "Concentrated Area of Effect" support gem?

Conc. will apply to my knowledge, but all it will do is kill the radius :P
Increased area of effect and reduced mana cost are the most widely used supports with auras (imho)
Auras are radial and can have their radii increased/decreased with supports, reduced mana cost also effects them... in the future, perhaps there will be support gems which effect buffs in some way.
