Cast on Crit "Lagbuilds" fix?

I am just wondering if this will ever be fixed? I am playing as an end game max crit + max block + CoC GMP ST triple spell shadow and I make every single person lag in every party. Even people with $5,000 PCs running state of the art GPU/CPU with 16Gb or RAM. EVERYONE LAGS, even with all graphics setting turned all the way down and post processing turned off.

I am okay solo, unless i hit a fracturing mod on maps (turns it to lag city on large groups dropping fps down to 2-5 range)

I love my build, I can fast clear 77-78s maps, but I can not play in party. People simply leave.

Please fix this.

At least give us an option to turn off animations, because you can't see a single thing with GMP Fireball/Frozen Skull/Freezing pulse or Ice Spear.

P.S. If there is a summoner in the party then it's over. Everyone will lag out.

There have been many instances when game crashed all together or made me lag out to log in screen if i hit a rare mob with undying aura and my spells do not pierce far enough to kill it. I end up casting 100+ GMP spells per second upon it's undying minions and the game just simply breaks down on me.

It is likely the lag is caused not only by the huge GPU pressure but the thousands of calculations per second created by your build. This could probably be improved slightly but will not be fixed.

If you want to party you should get a new build, this is the same for most summoner classes and old (before the removal of lights) fireball classes etc.

Well yeah...I know what causes the lag. I am asking if this will be ever fixed? GGG mentioned a while back about fixing this, having certain animations be "preloaded" or whatever they were saying, IIRC, run them client side not server side.

Also why not give an option to tune down animations or turn them off altogether.

Why give us an ability to make a build, implement a gem into the game, but not have a client able to support it. Bad programming/design, IMO.

I've waited for many months for a fix, and it looks like one is not coming.

Every high level map party disallows CoC's calling them "lagbuilds"

This needs to be a priority, or take the game mechanic out of the game completely.

The only way it's likely to get fixed is if they nerf the fuck out of cast on crit and increase the cool down on it from 10ms to 250ms or more which would completely ruin the functionality and usefulness of the gem.

I call BS.

Disable Particle Emitter option would help out quite a bit to start.

I ran that same build before and its not CoC that is lagging everyone.

It isn't fireball..or even ice spear.

"Frozen Skull" as you call it, or Arctic Breath has always been a major source of fps lag. They have plenty of feedback confirming that in the Arctic Breath thread.

Freezing pulse on its own sometimes lags, but seems more prone to lagging when combined with fireball.

Fireball and ice spear are a solid combo. Gmp freezing pulse is tempting but thats also 5x procs of lightning thorns per wave hitting you.

I don't run arctic breath in parties, it is unbearable for party members.

If you played GMP CoC build as much as me you would know that any combination of spells will lag if hitting a sizable enough pack of mobs. For example ice spear + fireball triggered by GMP Spectral Throw will lag people out in 77-78s map party when hitting large number of mobs (due to large health pool of mobs, allowing GMP ST to proc a very large number of GMP spells). Freezing pulse and Frozen skull are just retarded bugged in those circumstances.

A good way to test a combination of spells versus the performance is Cowards Trial Unique map. Standing dead center in the middle in last room and shooting GMP ST in a circular pattern causes GMP spell procs in all directions forming a circle around you... FPS drop to zero. People's clients crash.

Fireball and ice spear never were a problem for me.

Here's a little secret about "no lag build" public parties... even when your build doesnt lag people because you swapped spells or GGG made improvements, people still wont want you there.

If your build does any of the following:
1)Kills everything (discharge)
2)Clutters the screen (summoner)
3)In any other way makes people feel inferior

People will just kick you and cry lag. Most people just want extra players for IIQ and more exp, and often enough to fund more maps through fees. They dont want their thunder stolen. Only a solid nerf fixes that, so people keep saying they lag from coc and it causes innumerable terrible events to happen no matter what like lag, and the server exploding, and nuclear war.. because they really just want any flashy high dps build they dont play nerfed.

They'll even claim to play it themselves and leave feedback under the guise of simply asking for fps fixes but really wanting to see nerfs.
