Gear doesn't show on the ground

Hi guys, Im just wondering why I cant see all gear on the ground. I have checked my keybinds and the key z only toggles the switch between seeing magic+ gear and stuff.

Holding Alt reveals all gear on the ground, however in the options you can set it so that all dropped gear shows, all the time.

Options -> UI Tab -> Show Full Descriptions (ON)

Pressing the Z button in game displays dropped items, chests, barrels.

i really wish GGG wouldnt have removed the white item filter from the UI, without at least making sure that everyones filter got set back to "FALSE" (show white items)...
i see more and more people who are "brand new" having this issue.. since patch 0.10.0 (open beta) GGG removed the UI option to not show white items on the ground. this was useful in closed beta, when this game was a loot pinata.. since then many things have changed and the need for a filter for white items has gone by the wayside.. the UI option is gone, however the config variable is still in the game and i expect it to be depreciated later in development. close the game if open, find your config, mine is my docs > my games > path of exile > production_config.ini once inside find: filter_white_items= yours probably says "true" you want to change that to false.. if filter_white_items= is already set to false, set it to true, then save the file, start the game, log in, maybe even log into a character, then exit, the game, open your config back up, and change it back to "false", save file, restart game.. Things with "increased" and "decreased" in the tooltip are additive ... where as "More" or "Less" are multiplicative ...

Thank you so much wade001! I was having the same issue and everyone kept telling me to hit the Z key. It was getting a bit frustrating to be quite honest :)
